The Sansevieria plant is a popular indoor plant credited with filtering indoor air and removing toxic pollutants and releasing increased amounts of oxygen – vital in urban settings.  The Sansevieria plant also known as Mother-in-law’s tongue, or the Snake Plant, is endemic to Africa and South Asia and is one of the easiest indoor plants to care for in Sri Lanka

Sansevieria requires very little water and our BREATHE! OXYGEN POT comes with detailed care instructions to ensure that your plant remains happy and vibrant.

These pots begin life on Madumal’s potter’s wheel in Thiththawelgala, Ibbagamuwa before being hand-painted by our Athwela Marketplace team led by Anoma. With a carefully layered soil and coir composition, the large Sansevieria plant we’ve included comes from organic home-garden nurseries in the villages we serve in Ibbagamuwa.
